James Wesley Haymer
BIO
James Wesley Haymer was born in New York and when he was twelve, his family hopped in the Cadillac convertible and headed for sunny California where he formed Silverspoon produced by Beatles road manager, Mal Evans. A year later the group contributed to the soundtrack of Helter Skelter, the Charles Manson movie, recording four Beatle songs.
After the band broke up, he and Silverspoon keyboardist, Blair Aaronson, formed Two Guys from Van Nuys, a Dylanesque duo that were regulars at the Bla Bla café in Studio City and had cuts with Dave Mason and Mike Love of the Beach Boys.
At the urgence of former Silverspoon member, Chas Sandford, he and his family moved to the Nashville area and bought an old farmhouse from the late 1800s. He built a small home studio where he wrote and recorded four solo albums, See You Around, Field Recordings, Boomtown, and Timing is Everything. His new Album, Still Moving is due out soon and the first single, Superman’s Rocket was released on 2/22/24.
